Harry: Click! Click! Click! Shutter after shutter of multitudes of cameras are pointing in the direction of you and your fiancé, and reporters are nearly shoving over each other to get a glimpse of London’s newest “it couple”. “You look… absolutely amazing. I don’t even have words.” Harry whispers into your ear, and you grimace. The strapless Vera Wang gown is “absolutely amazing” sure, but you don’t think your body does it much justice, and it’s hard to smile for the cameras when all you can think about is the lumps of skin trying to push its way out of the couture dress. Throughout the whole night, you can’t shake the feeling that peoples’ eyes are being drawn to the worst part of your body… the criss crossing scars lacing up and down your arms like gloves. When you get home, late, you immediately make your way to the bathroom where you rip off the dress and sit on the loo to shake in silent sobs, twisting your fingers around your wrists like shackles. It isn’t your own sobs that make you leave the room, it’s the unfamiliar cries of someone a few feet away. Quiet enough not to be heard, you peek into Harry’s bedroom, where he is sitting on his bed, clutching his head with his hands, crying and talking to himself. “I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what to do.” He is saying, snuffling and completely out of control. “Mate, just calm down.” A voice is saying from below Harry, and you recognize Louis’ voice from the speakerphone. “But… Lou, you don’t understand. What if it’s my fault? It has to be my fault. How did I not notice sooner…” you only see the back of his body, which is shaking violently, and more than ever you just want to come up behind him and comfort him. “Talk to her, please.” Louis pleads, and then Harry starts wailing so badly, you can’t muffle your crying any longer. He hears you and snaps around, and tries to hide his tears with a “Oh hey babe! Just talking to Louis! I’ve got to go mate,” he mutters and ends the call. Without even speaking, he runs at you, picks you up and just shakily repeats, “you are so beautiful, so , so beautiful, much more than you can ever understand, you mean so much to me…”
